Farm Label “EESTI LIHAVEIS”

We are pleased to announce that as of February 2025, we hold the farm quality label “Eesti Lihaveis” (Estonian Beef). This is a trust-based farm label, by applying for which beef cattle breeders confirm that they employ the best practices in raising their herd, meet animal welfare and environmental requirements, and conduct performance monitoring within the herd. The label “Eesti Lihaveis” signifies that the animals and the products obtained from them are raised according to good agricultural practices.

All beef cattle born and raised in Estonia are considered Estonian beef. However, farms bearing this label are more clearly distinguished for other livestock breeders, consumers, and all stakeholders in the meat sector due to specific quality requirements. In these farms, good animals are raised, and quality Estonian beef is produced.

Currently, beef cattle farming is the fastest-growing agricultural sector in Estonia. With the “Eesti Lihaveis” label, we highlight our dedicated farmers and recognize their hard work, which has significantly improved the quality of beef in recent years and maintained thousands of hectares of pastures.
